Glenn Ong plans to release album of his favourite karaoke hits
He's not kidding.
Glenn Ong, who recently made headlines for quitting his DJ job, is now gunning to be a singer.
He plans to release an album featuring covers of his favourite karaoke songs.
Ong, 45, told The New Paper: "When I was in secondary school, I did entertain the idea of joining a singing competition.
"But when I realised that my speaking voice was nicer, I became a DJ instead.
"Now that I'm on a break from that, I want to indulge my creativity."
He added, laughing: "It would be nice if my album went platinum."
But can he sing?
Ong's family, who was with him during the interview, insisted that he has a great voice.
Ong is currently managed by his former colleague The Flying Dutchman, Mark Van Cuylenburg's management company, which is also in charge of producing and marketing his album.
