Jessica Jung and SNSD move on after her sudden departure
Just two weeks after Jessica Jung's sudden departure from Girls' Generation (SNSD), the two parties seemed to have moved on.
According to Daily Kpop News, Jung has been busy with a design competition which she conducted through her re-branded fashion line BLANC & ECLARE.
The design competition, where she works in partnership with global charity group Help For Children, aims to support a charity group which fights child abuse.
It is the first BLANC & ECLARE charity initiative in which the company invites the public to design a pair of sunglasses.
The winning design will become part of the BLANC & ECLARE collection with 100 per cent of the profits going to the brand’s charity partner.
Meanwhile, the eight remaining members of SNSD released the video of their ballad Divine.
Funny thing is, Jessica's got a part in the single and its video.
This looks like her final song with the group, so we guess it's safe to say goodbye to Jessica (or as fans call her, Sica).
In a post on Jung's Weibo account last month, she wrote that she was informed of her exit from the group by SM Entertainment, the team's management team, and the other eight members.
She said she was "devastated" and added that she was pushed out "for no justifiable reason".
But SM Entertainment blamed her dismissal on "her personal situation" where they claim "Jessica said she would stop group activities after one more album".
The team added that "despite Jessica's sudden statement, Jessica and the Girls' Generation members continued to work hard and carefully think over so that the team can continue to work in the best direction..."
