Ryan Reynolds headlines this comic-book adaptation playing the titular anti-hero Deadpool.
He plays Wade Wilson, a former Special Forces operative-turned-mercenary who volunteers for a rogue programme in order to cure his cancer.
While the torturous experiment does cure his illness, it also leaves him horribly disfigured, but also with accelerated healing powers.
Adopting the alter ego Deadpool, Wilson begins a manhunt on the man Ajax (Ed Skrein) who turned him into a monster.
Deadpool opens here Feb 11, and is rated M18. It also stars Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Gina Carano and Brianna Hildebrand.
