KATY PERRY - RISE
The US singer's theme song for NBC's coverage of the 2016 Summer Olympics is a slow and majestic tune about overcoming obstacles and doubt.
It's certainly motivational, but it isn't the great or memorable theme song we'd expect for a major sporting event.
Perry's 2013 single Roar would actually be a more energetic anthem.
HAILEE STEINFELD & GREY (FEAT. ZEDD) - STARVING
Almost a year since the US actress first released her debut EP Haiz, Steinfeld's music career is going strong as she teams up with Russian-German DJ Zedd and US producing pair Grey for this catchy collaboration.
Her recognisable vocals are velvety and never overwhelmed by the up-tempo electronic music.
Starving may not become a chart-topper, but Steinfeld really needs to be cast in more musicals.
BRITNEY SPEARS (FEAT. G-EAZY) - MAKE ME...
This starts out pretty strong, with the US singer delivering an infectious tune with minimalist musical backing.
Then it reaches the chorus and everything falls apart as Spears' voice is drowned out by the music - bordering on incoherence - and grows weaker as she climbs to a higher frequency towards the end.
It's not horrible, but Spears has done much better. - Deborah Wee
