Just Maddy being silly
Our resident Kiss92 DJ/ journo thinks Madonna will be just fine despite her recent 'meltdown'
By now, you've probably heard that Madonna suffered a "meltdown" during her intimate gig, Tears Of A Clown, in Melbourne, while taking a break from the Australian leg of her Rebel Heart world tour.
She reportedly took a swig of tequila and sipped from a concertgoer's hip flask.
She jokingly begged for sex.
She pleaded for someone to take care of her.
She dressed as a clown and fell off a tricycle.
She messed up a couple of songs.
She called her English film-maker ex-husband Guy Ritchie something we can't print.
PHOTO: FACEBOOK/ MADONNASorry but this doesn't sound like a meltdown to me. This sounds like Madonna acting a bit goofy.
Frankly, I wish the US pop queen would have a meltdown. Then we'd at least know she's human.
Madge's slightly off-kilter behaviour is apparently due to an ongoing custody battle over her 15-year-old son Rocco.
She wants the boy to live with her in New York but he wants to be with his dad Ritchie in London.
The case is being heard in London before the Family Division of the High Court and a ruling is expected soon.
No matter what happens, this kid Rocco is going to continue to be one of the most pampered and privileged kids on Earth.
With his mother being a pop star and his father a famous director, his only challenges in life will be deciding which golden opportunities to take and how to spend his money.
Frankly, I doubt Madonna even cares as much as she wants us to believe that she cares.
During the recent court hearings which Ritchie and Rocco attended, Madonna wasn't even there. She was in Australia. On stage, where she had her "meltdown".
A lot of us have to make sacrifices in terms of being good parents because of our jobs.
We can't spend as much time with our children as we'd like because we have to work for a living. If we stop working, we're doomed.
It's different for Madonna. She's one of the richest pop stars in the world, with a fortune estimated at US$700 million (S$960 million).
She could live a thousand years and never have to work another day in her life.
Why was she Down Under with her fans instead of in England with her son? If she thinks that her relationship with a bunch of random fans is more important than her relationship with her child, she's delusional beyond belief.
Then again, that's Madonna.
At 57 years old, she's still the fame-starved striver she always has been.
