The Results
The US singer and female vocalist of hip-hop group Black Eyed Peas' first single off her debut solo album The Dutchess peaked at No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
Even though many critics felt London Bridge was a rip-off of US singer Gwen Stefani's Hollaback Girl, it went on to earn a platinum certification in 2007 and 2008 by the Recording Industry Association of America for selling over a million units each for mastertone and digital sales.
That was then...
The Dutchess was a worldwide commercial success, reaching No. 2 on the US Billboard 200, despite its mixed reviews. Other Top 5 singles from it included Big Girls Don't Cry, Glamorous, Fergalicious and Clumsy.
Fergie continued to tour with Black Eyed Peas and returned to acting from 2006, appearing in Poseidon, Grindhouse and Nine.

A decade on, Fergie, 41, is preparing for her comeback.
Last month, she released her single M.I.L.F. $ from her second studio album Double Dutchess, due for release later this year.
M.I.L.F. $ has been in the works for three years, and she hopes to empower mothers to balance motherhood, career and personal time.
The music video for the song, which now has 66 million views, features other hot celebrity mamas like Kim Kardashian, Chrissy Teigen, Alessandra Ambrosio and Ciara sexing it up.
Fergie - who has a three-year-old son with US actor Josh Duhamel - told Associated Press: "I can tell you I have a lot of new music. I'm super excited to give pieces, a little bit at a time. It's definitely authentically me because of the fact that it's a lot of different things."
