Frontman and vocalist Shirley Manson, 49, guitarist Steve Marker, 56, bass guitarist Duke Erikson, 65, and drummer Butch Vig, 60, announced last week that their sixth studio album, Strange Little Birds, will be released on June 10.
It will be their first offering since 2012's Not Your Kind Of People.
This comes after a re-issue of their debut album last October to celebrate Garbage's 20th anniversary.
Manson told NME: "To me, this (new) record, funnily enough, has the most to do with the first record than any of the previous records.
"It's getting back to that beginner's headspace."
