Robin Williams, not Robbie Williams
Some people saw Robin Williams and thought Robbie Williams.
And they took to social media to convey their condolences to the wrong person.
The US actor-comedian Robin Williams had died of an apparent suicide police had said on Aug 11.
But some Twitter users started tweeting sad messages to British singer Williams, 40, stating how much they would miss him.
Even when the message was clear on who had actually died, the tweets didn't stop. It eventually turned into a joke online where users actually posted the messages for fun. Some users didn't take it too well.

Believe it or not, some even thought that Dutch football player Robin Van Persie had died sending out tweets like "You were such a great player" and calling him their "idol".
Even if they were meant as jokes, a bit tasteless, don't you think?
