Adorable YouTube sensation Us the Duo is probably one of the most popular musical couples online and has been performing all over the world.

The New Paper caught up with the married couple, Michael Alvarado and Filipino-American Carissa Rae, about their Christmas plans when they visited Singapore for a performance at the Kallang Theatre recently.

How do you find Singapore after visiting it for a second time?
MA: Singapore has been great. The people are so nice and we love the local food like chili crab and chicken rice.
How have Singaporean fans been showing you love?
CR: The fans have just been amazing. At events or simply out by the street, the fans always try to snap a selfie with us. They've been very warm and loving towards us. We were actually very surprised to find out we had fans here, but once we did we knew we had to come.
Has anything out of the ordinary happened here in Singapore?
MA: Yeah! I was out jogging along Orchard Road while it was raining. We hardly get rain back home so we're thrilled to experience so much of it here. But while I was out jogging, this guy runs up along my side and asks if he could take a picture with me. It was so random! I was more than happy to though.

Has Singapore done a good job with the decorations to make you feel the Christmas mood?
CR: Yes! In fact I think Singapore puts up more Christmas decorations than the Americans back home. The streets here are so colourful.
Does Singapore's 'rainy cold' weather make you shiver even a little?
MA: Haha no! The cold here is nothing compared to what it's like back home.
How do you usually celebrate Christmas?
CR: Well we usually alternate where we go during Christmas. We take turns returning back to his hometown or mine. This year it's back to his family's home in Colorado.
What is the best present you have received from each other? And are you doing any shopping here?
CR: My best present from him might sound cheesy but it was actually him proposing to me.
MA: The best present I ever received from her was probably worth less than US$10! She bought me this head scratcher that was simply amazing! Haha
Since you both love Vine so much, would you mind recording a Christmas special for us?
MA & CR: Sure of course!
