S'poreans are most likely to re-gift Christmas presents, says survey
Hate a gift you've just received for Christmas? Don't worry, you aren't the only one.
According to a recent survey by Rakuten, more than two in three people in Singapore have been given things they do not like.
The online shopping platform's Christmas survey involved over 7,000 respondents from the United States, United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, Indonesia, Singapore and Taiwan.
And Singapore came out tops in re-gifting unwanted presents.
Here's what people have been doing with their unwanted gifts.
If you think you have a knack for selecting gifts, think again.
A whopping 87 per cent of those who hated their gifts pretended to like them in front of the giver.
Don't want your gift to have a sad ending? Then avoid buying the following things.
Stressed about what to buy for your colleague? That's pretty normal.
Women spend the most time shopping for their female friend (103 minutes), but colleagues come in a close second (100 minutes).
Men spend the most time shopping for their spouse/partner (75 minutes). Time spent shopping for colleagues is also at a very close second (73 minutes).
So... what should you give your loved one this Christmas?
