Movie Review: Bad Guys Always Die
Starring Taiwanese actor Chen Bolin and top Korean actress Son Ye Jin, action comedy Bad Guys Always Die is yet another China-Korea collaboration to hit the big screen this year, after To The Fore and Helios.
Chen plays Chang, a Chinese teacher living in Busan. He goes to Jeju Island with his younger brother and friends but things get complicated after they save a woman (Son) from a car crash.
As the story progresses, the flimsy script gives in to illogical leaps, making the film almost painful to watch.
There are several slapstick performances throughout the movie, but the jokes fall flat with a draggy plot and less-than-comedic cast.
These Bad Guys are bad all right.
