Swedish boy band JTR does the IKEA challenge

Do Swedish boy bands know how to put together Swedish furniture? 

Well ...

To find the answer to that question, we got a chest of drawers from IKEA (where else!) and invited the three brothers who make up Swedish boy band JTR to our office. 

The result? 

"It's more of a chair," says middle brother Tom Lundback. 

"Or a coffee table," chips in eldest brother John Andreasson. 

"We're Swedish, we're not superheroes!" exclaims Robin, who is the youngest of the trio at 21.

The IKEA challenge with JTR 

 

 

 

JTR are the latest in a long line of pop acts from Sweden, a group which famously includes the likes of ABBA, Ace of Base and The Cardigans.

The boys were in Singapore earlier this month to perform at the 20th Asian Television Awards .

The band's name JTR was derived from the first letters of each brother’s name: John (25), Tom (22) and Robin (21).

The trio of brothers are originally from Sweden but have been travelling back and forth between Sweden and Australia, after their singer mother married their Australian music executive stepdad.

Their first taste of the limelight was when they first appeared on the fifth season of The X Factor Australia in 2013 with a cover of Justin Bieber's As Long As You Love Me.

Though the brothers didn't win, they did manage to catch the hearts of teenage girls across the country with their charms and boyish good looks.

Their debut album, Touchdown, was released in March last year, and debuted at #2 on iTunes in Sweden.

The Asian Edition of the album was released on iTunes on Nov 13 with five additional songs.
