WATCH: Us The Duo creates a song out of random words
Even with just six completely random words to work with, Us The Duo managed to conjure up an original tune.
The US-based folk/pop duo, made up of husband and wife team Michael and Carissa Alvarado, were in Singapore to perform at A Rooftop Affair at Serangoon Gardens on Saturday (July 4).
They were joined by local acts Gentle Bones and Shigga Shay.
Since meeting each other back in 2011, the Alvarados have tied the knot, gained over 1 million YouTube subscribers, scored a recording deal with Republic Records and recorded a song for the 2014 animated film The Book of Life.
During an interview with M before the concert, the talented couple debuted their "new single" Where Am I? – a song composed by putting random words they had drawn up - 'George Clooney', 'Singapore Flyer', 'London', 'Paris', 'Shanghai' and 'hungover'.
The Alvarados also displayed their spontaneity when they answered questions that were asked to famous people such as Kim Kardashian and David Beckham.
To test just how well they know each other, Michael and Carissa took turns to take M's couple quiz.
Which one of Carissa's habits annoys Michael the most? Who's Carissa's celebrity crush? Who's the better singer? Find out the answers to these questions and more in this video.
