Fire breaks out at Teck Whye Lane
A fire broke out this morning (Feb 12) at a ninth floor flat at Blk 114 Teck Whye Lane.
Reader Miss Priya M, 25, told The New Paper: "I didn't hear anything until I saw a huge column of smoke coming out from the flat at about 9.20am.
"Minutes later, I saw firefighters arriving at the car park."
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it received a call about the fire at 9.17am.
One fire engine, two Red Rhinos and two fire bikes were sent to the scene.

SCDF said that the contents of one bedroom were on fire. The fire was extinguished with a water jet.
According to the SCDF spokesperson, two occupants of the flat were conveyed to the National University Hospital for injuries not related to the fire.
A woman in her 60s was sent to the hospital because she fell down, while another lady in her 30s was sent because of breathlessness.
SCDF is investigating the cause of the fire.
