It seems that no one wants to buy Michael Jackson's home.

Named after the fantasy island of Jackson's favourite fictional hero Peter Pan, the Neverland Ranch was put up for auction for a day on Tuesday (Oct 27) on Chinese online shopping site Taobao, reported China Daily.

According to the Daily Mail, after the legend's death, the Neverland Ranch was left unattended and only restored by daughter Paris in 2013.

Boasting a 12,000 sq ft mansion that comes with two guesthouse, a tennis court, basketball court and a 50-seat movie theatre, it had a starting price of 500 million yuan (S$110.69 million).

Even though the auction had over 60,000 viewers, only one person gave the deposit of 50,000 yuan, only to turn down a formal offer in the end.

According to Mashable, Jackson had bought the 1,090ha property for US$19.5 million (S$27.31 million) in 1987.

But he had to move out in 2006 after his acquittal on charges that he molested children on the property.

In May this year, it was announced to the protest and disagreement of fans that the property would be put up for sale with an initial price tag of US$100 million, reported Forbes.
