WATCH: Obama eats bear's left-over salmon
Salmon – it's a fine fish that makes a dish fit for a king.
But what about the President of the United States? And a salmon half-eaten by a hungry Alaskan bear at that?
Preisdent Barack Obama certainly didn't have much of a choice during his outing in Alaska with survival expert Bear Grylls.
In a promotional short for Running Wild With Bear Grylls, the 54-year-old POTUS was presented with the meal of letftovers for dinner by the Englishman, who claimed he had found the fish's gutted carcass on a river bank.
After trying a piece of meat that had been cooked on a stone, Mr Obama remarked that the fish was tasty, although he later said Grylls was a mediocre cook and that he "could have just left out" the fact that the fish was a leftover from a bear.
While the salmon's back story was a little unsavoury, Mr Obama certainly had it easy in terms of his meal in the wild with Grylls as other celebrities who have appeared on the show can attest.
Actor Channing Tatum tucked into a scorpion and a rattlesnake – which he personally dispatched – during his episode while actress Michelle Rodriguez had a mouse boiled in a mug of her own urine in Nevada.
