Car smashes through the wall of house at Chuan View
The owners of a house at Chuan View, near Serangoon Gardens, were woken by a loud bang at 4.40am on Saturday morning (April 4).
The reason was that a car had mounted the curb and smashed through the wall of their home.
It was only after her maid alerted her that she was shocked to see the car suspended on what had been the wall, with the rear half hanging over the pavement.
By the time The New Paper went to the scene at 10.30am, the car was still suspended on the wall.
The homeowner, who did not want to be named, told The New Paper that did not think anything of the noise at first as she says there have been a number of early morning collisions along the road before.
Police were alerted to the incident.
The driver of the car was a 50-year-old man, who was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Shin Min Daily News reported that maid saw the driver pull a pair of crutches from the car to help him get into the ambulance.
Police are investigating the matter.
