The IT Show is back.

From today until Sunday, techies can head to Suntec Singapore to find great deals on gadgets.

The IT Show will also showcase some of the coolest new toys, as well as a special section for gamers.

Another reason for heading down will be the Booth Babes Selfie Contest, where participants stand to win $300 cash for snapping a selfie with one of the show's booth babes.

We caught up with the five most popular booth babes chosen from a Facebook poll, to get the lowdown on their job.

People think it's a bimbo's job, but you have to be lively and energetic. I enjoy meeting different kinds of people and I've met some very nice people along the way too. It has widened my horizon.

HAS ANYONE TRIED HITTING ON YOU AT A SHOW?

One guy wanted to marry me. You have to be nice, so one way of indirectly rejecting them is to say you have a boyfriend waiting, or that you have to run off after the show.

ASPIRATIONS?

I would love to be on the cover of a magazine. I would also like to start my own range of fashion products.

You get to learn a lot about cars during car shows and IT stuff for IT shows - and I love learning.

MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT?

I did a runway where the dress was one size too big. The top portion of it dropped on stage. I was glad that I was wearing a nude bra underneath because I wasn't even aware at the time that it had dropped.

HAS ANYONE TRIED HITTING ON YOU BEFORE?

It's always: 'Can I have your number?'

Sometimes, guys get their woman friends to ask me for my number.

ASPIRATIONS?

I work as an optometrist and I hope to start my own business.

I used to do project management in the digital marketing industry, so this is a liberating and refreshing change.

The best thing is getting to work with like-minded people. I know two of the other girls from previous events. It's fun working with friends, meeting people and making more friends.

TOUGHEST THING ABOUT THE JOB?

If you're talking about waking up early and long hours, I spent years working in an office, so it's not a big deal.

TOP TIP?

I'm not really seasoned enough to give newbies tips, but it's always good to be friendly, have a good attitude and be upbeat. As long as you have a good disposition, I don't see why you can't succeed in any industry.
