Park Connector Network hits 300km
Singapore's Park Connector Network (PCN) reached the length of 300km on Sunday (Sept 20), with the launch of the Central Urban Loop.
The 36km route is the fifth loop in the network, which includes the North Eastern Riverine Loop, Eastern Coastal Loop, Northern Explorer Loop and Western Adventure Loop.
Construction of the last portion of the Central Urban Loop, the Hougang Avenue 3 Park Connector, began last year.
With its completion, Hougang residents can now cycle directly to Punggol and Kallang.
Two other loops, the Southern Ridges Loop and Central Nature Loop, and the Round Island Route, which will circle around Singapore, are in the works.
