Singapore's biker chicks
The past week I was tasked to shoot biker chicks, a break from the usual of shooting our columnist and biking experts Biker Boy, Zaihan Mohd Yusof.
You see, all-girl biker groups are flourishing here in Singapore, from one group back in the early 2000s, there are now six.
I quickly thought up of locations to illustrate the story — quiet roads that would provide an ethereal setting.
Strangely enough, the haze actually helped create a misty atmosphere.
So we went to places like Gymkhana Ave to Upper Peirce Reservoir.
These quiet roads with lush greenery backdrops created the sense of freedom — something that the ladies were evidently about.
These girls obviously know about bikes and how to ride them.
One dropped a gear and danced through traffic on her Honda Super 4 Revo, while I could only watch while stuck in traffic.
Another one has gone to China on her bike!
These pictures hopefully tell the tale of the freedom these women personify and go after.
