Here are five things you and your family could do.
MUSEUM HOP
The National Heritage Board will be providing free admission to all their museums and institutions.
You can view Singapore's rich history through the various exhibitions at the museums and take part in a wide variety of family-related activities.
Movie screenings, arts and craft activities for families and cultural performances are just some of the highlights available.

TOUR THE ESPLANADE CONCERT HALL
On this rare occasion, the Esplanade will open the doors of its concert hall to everyone for a day.
Go and see Singapore's largest pipe organ (right) and experience one of the "world's 15 most beautiful concert halls" as listed by CNN news.
There will also be many one-hour demonstrations and music performances in the area.

BASK IN NATURE
Watch with the whole family local folklore come to life at the Gardens by the Bay Flower Dome.
Designed by award-winning Singaporean landscape architect, Damian Tang, 10 local myths will be brought to life through the use of orchids and other flowers in a floral display called "From Tales to Legends: Discover Singapore Stories". You can also watch light shows at the Supertrees in the evenings.
Or head down to the Singapore Botanic Gardens, our new Unesco World Heritage Site, to join its Jubilee Weekend celebrations, which include a three-day carnival and a series of performances.

GET ACTIVE
The Singapore Sports Hub will host a carnival at the OCBC Square where you can enjoy a variety of exciting activities for all age groups.
Let your children enjoy themselves at the kids' play zones as you take part in mass workouts or even unorthodox sports like human bowling and human futsal.
You can also attend "learn-to-play" activities that teach people who are new to certain sports.
And also watch the National Day Parade from the Padang, aired live at the Sports Hub.
Food and beverage concessions is available at the Kallang Wave Mall.

CELEBRATE IN THE HEARTLANDS
Before celebrating in the city, why not celebrate in the morning with your neighbourhood - at the National Day Observance Ceremonies organised by the People's Association islandwide.
You can re-live our nation's moment of independence in 1965, as you listen to a recording of founding Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew's reading of the Proclamation of Independence.
You can also sing the National Anthem and recite the pledge as One Singapore.
There will also be stage performances and games and food stalls in the heart of different residential areas.
