Man jailed 10 years for fatal knife attack in 2000
See Chee Keong, 50, was sentenced to 10 years' jail for causing the death of another man in May 2000.
See had pleaded guilty to culpable homicide not amounting to murder in the Supreme Court on Wednesday (Apr 20) for inflicting two stab wounds -- one to the neck and the other to the heart -- to Mr Leong Fook Weng, 36.
See had committed the offence at a vacant plot of land along Kheam Hock Road, off Dunearn Road.
The court heard that Mr Leong was assaulted by See and a few others for being arrogant and for switching gangs.
After the attack, See absconded and was caught in Cambodia for drug offences.
He was sentenced to 18 years' jail in Cambodia and was released in 2013 after a royal pardon.
He was then brought back to Singapore.
