Man jailed for placing cameras in Cotton On fitting rooms
A former application consultant was on Tuesday (Dec 1) jailed 20 weeks for placing hidden cameras in fitting rooms at two Cotton On outlets.
Zheng Zhongshi, 33, had earlier pleaded guilty to 10 charges: six of having unauthorised access to a computer, and four of insulting the modesty of women.
Zheng had planted hidden cameras in hangers that were left in the fitting rooms of Cotton On outlets at White Sands in Pasir Ris and at Plaza Singapura.
After the cameras were discovered and removed, Zheng used the Singapore Police Force's computer system where he made unauthorised searches on whether reports had been made against him.
His work had given him access to their computers.
Realising the case was being investigated, Zheng surrendered.
Cotton On could not be reached for comment.
