Motorcyclist unconscious after colliding with wild boar on BKE
A motorcyclist fell unconscious after his motorbike collided with a wild boar on the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) on Sunday evening (Nov 13).
The boar died in the accident, which occurred at about 7pm near the Dairy Farm exit in the direction of the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE).
The New Paper understands that the 25-year-old man had injuries on his hands and legs, and was also bleeding from his mouth.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force sent an ambulance, which took the motorcyclist to the National University Hospital.
A 48-year-old taxi driver told Shin Min Daily News that he saw the wild boar lying on the road. He believes the boarhad come from the forested area next to the expressway.
There have been several incidents involving wild boars this year.
In April, a man was thrown off his motorcycle after colliding with a wild boar on the Seletar Expressway.
He had abrasions and pain in his shoulder. In May, a boy was hurt after he was chased by a wild boar in Punggol.
