It was captured by a CCTV outside Boon Keng MRT station.
The weather was fine, road surface was dry, visibility was clear and traffic flow was light.
But Chee lost control of the car, mounted the kerb on the right and collided into railings along the road and a lamp post.
The car continued forward and rammed into pedestrian Ngai Chee Kiong who was walking on the pavement.
He was flung onto the road .
Mr Ngai was taken to Tan Tock Seng hospital with severe brain injuries and multiple fractures.
He died at 6.48pm that day from head injuries.
The court heard that Chee was not injured in the accident and was not driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
His car, which was damaged, was also inspected but no inherent defects were found.
The maximum punishment for causing death by driving a vehicle at a dangerous speed
is a mandatory jail term, of up to five years.
