Man didn't realise he had cut off his own hand until he saw it on the floor
A retired teacher's neighbours had to lend him a helping hand because he had accidentally cut off one of his.
Mr Edryd Jones, 69, didn't even realise that he had severed his left hand with a power saw while doing DIY work in his bedroom.
"I didn't realise my hand had gone until I went to pick up a piece of wood and it wasn't there. It was on the floor," said the Welshman.
"I thought I was going to bleed to death."

Instead of panicking when Mr Jones told him about his accident, one of the neighbours retrieved the missing body part from Jones' bedroom and put it in a bowl of ice.
This allowed surgeons to reattach the hand after a nine-hour long operation.
But Mr Jones isn't going to let the horrific incident stop him from doing DIY work..
Now able to move his left hand and drive again, he said: "I still have the saw but I won't be using it again. I'm back to using an old-fashioned hand saw."
