WATCH: Deep-sea researcher gets crazy-excited when he spots a rare shark
What do you say after finding the proverbial needle in a haystack?
National Geographic's Alan Turchik felt unbridled joy at catching sight of a rare Greenland shark on camera.
It also explains why his whooping - and swearing - had to be beeped out.
During an expedition to one of the wildest places (the uninhabited Franz Josef Land archipelago in the Arctic Ocean) the mechanical engineer was dismayed after sifting through close to three hours worth of footage from a deep-sea camera.
There was nothing but sand.
You'll laugh too when you see his reaction
But that changed when a huge Greenland shark - a species of shark rarely seen because it inhabits the deepest oceans - swam into full view.
Cue an overjoyed Turchik's over-the-top reaction - caught on video by a cameraman who happened to be in the right place at the right time.
Zip to the half-way point of the clip, sit back and watch the funniest part unfold.
It's truly a heartwarming sight.
