Miss Universe Singapore 2016 - S Sreeveena
S Sreeveena loves children and her dream is to be able to travel to third-world countries to build stable homes.
She sponsors two underprivileged children under World Vision Singapore.
She has not visited them, but she often sends gifts to a nine-year-old boy who lives with his parents in Sri Lanka and a six-year-old girl who lives with three siblings and their single mother in the Philippines.
What is one cause you would champion if you become Miss Universe Singapore 2016?
Supporting underprivileged children and providing them with all that they need to live their lives well. I feel that every child deserves proper attention and all the resources that can help them live a rewarding life.
Which influential living person would you like to meet?
Kailash Satyarthi. He is an Indian children's rights and education advocate and an activist against child labour.
What is one food you cannot resist?
Briyani. I've been on a quest to find the best briyani in town.
What is your most significant accomplishment so far?
Being a child sponsor. I have never done something like that before and I'm glad I'm taking a step now to do something that's beyond myself.
What are your thoughts on motherhood?
I love kids. Practically, in terms of offering the best for my children, I would like to have two of my own and give them my undivided attention.
