Gems galore at Singapore JewelFest 2015
Second edition of Singapore JewelFest features first-ever lingerie runway show
Flash and flesh came together for the first time during the Singapore JewelFest 2015 (SJF15) Second Edition at the Jewel Pavilion at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza on Tuesday evening.
Jewellery lovers and collectors thronged the annual exhibition - which ends on Sunday - to appreciate the constellation of rare gems, exclusive designs and limited editions on display, from iconic jewellery houses and designers from Singapore and around the world.
But what made SJF15 more eye-popping this time around was its first-ever lingerie runway show, a collaboration with Triumph's luxury label, ESSENCE by Triumph 2015 Collection.
The slender models, from nine countries, wore sensual bras, camisoles and French knickers, styled with dazzling diamonds, rubies, spinels and other gems from multiple brands.

But the stars of the night were the finale showpieces.
German brands Hans D Krieger Fine Jewellery and Esvara Viva each created signature bejewelled lingerie in collaboration with ESSENCE by Triumph 2015 Collection.
The former's blue Hypnotic Seduction set - which retails at $925,500 at the Jewel Pavilion - is inspired by the protagonist of Michel Faber's novel The Crimson Petal And The White, a seductress named Sugar.
It boasts 18K palladium white gold, 3,181 brilliant cut diamonds totalling 99.85 carats and 22 red and pink tourmalines totalling 157.02 carats.
Esvara Viva's designer Esther Stella Scherer, known for her conceptual jewellery design that draws inspiration from places and heritage sites, presented United In Diversity, featuring 16 symbols representing the different cultures of the world in 18K white gold with 6.4 carats of white diamonds priced at $35,000.
"I thought it was quite unique to pair jewellery with lingerie. It really brought out the sensual factor of each element and it was quite a dynamic pairing. Definitely a visual feast for the eyes."
