Update: Widow of Kovan murder victim takes stand
For more than two hours, Madam Ong Ah Tang, 66, stood outside her home at 14J Hillside Drive not knowing her husband and son were dead.
Taking the stand on Tuesday (Oct 20), the widow of former car workshop owner, Mr Tan Boon Sin, told the court how on July 10, 2013, Mr Tan had left for his workshop in Kaki Bukit after breakfast with her.
Speaking through a Mandarin interpreter, she said she met a friend at Nex Shopping Centre at about 11am, before returning home at about 4.55pm.
Madam Ong saw blood on the road and an ambulance parked on the service road outside her home.
She also saw a car belonging to her eldest son, Mr Tan Chee Heong, parked on the same road.
She tried calling her son but to no avail.
It was only past 7pm that Madam Ong learnt her husband and son had been murdered.
