What is one cause you would champion if you become Miss Universe Singapore 2016?
Greater awareness for mental disorders such as major depressive disorder and anxiety disorders such as obsessive-compulsive disorder. It is often seen as a sign of personal weakness instead of real illness. I hope to be able to help eradicate this mindset and encourage people who are suffering in silence to seek help.
Which influential living person would you like to meet?
Aung San Suu Kyi, as she is the epitome of a courageous woman who stood up for what she believed in, bringing about the changes that she wanted to see in her country. She showed immense tenacity and willpower in the face of persecution by the military junta, and was willing to sacrifice many years of freedom in order to advance her democratic ideals.
What is one food you cannot resist?
I can eat four durians all by myself, despite being a small eater.
Is there any area that you simply can't master or are clueless about?
Technology - it baffles me. I get quite frustrated and am constantly seeking help from friends to get accustomed to newer and more complicated functions.
Do nerdy, intellectual men turn you on? Does your partner have to be as brainy - or brainier - than you?
Yes, I find them sexy because I admire people who take a keen interest in world issues or issues in the academic realm. Such men normally have broader perspectives, which means we would share a wider array of intellectually-stimulating conversational topics.
