Big Walk a 'good way for family to bond'
The New Paper Courts Big Walk turns into family outing for 10, with one even travelling from Malaysia to join the fun
When Madam Noordianah Ibrahim told her two sons that she had signed the family up for The New Paper Courts Big Walk 2016, they asked her: "Will it be at the expressway again?"
Previous walks had taken them through pavements or along roads, she said.
So when Madam Noordianah, 33, said that this year's Big walk would be in the Singapore Zoo and Night Safari, the boys were excited.
This will be the third year that the teacher and her family members are taking part.
She took part in the past two walks with her mother, husband, their two children and younger sister. This time, the group has grown to 10.
Her aunt, medical associate Aisha Mohamed Ismail, 59, three cousins and a cousin-in-law from Malaysia will be walking with them at Big Walk 2016.
Madam Noordianah's son, Aniq Mateen Muhammad Adif, seven, is looking forward to seeing a white tiger.
"He just loves the cat family, like cheetahs, jaguars, pumas, leopards, and also wolverines and racoon dogs," she said.
PANDA ATTRACTION
She also bought 10 River Safari tickets so that Qayyum Fitri Muhammad Adif, six, can see Jia Jia and Kai Kai, the giant pandas.

Her service engineer husband, Mr Muhammad Adif Zainal, 39, is often away for overseas business trips.
One other reason she loves the Big Walk is that her 61-year-old mother, Madam Aziza Mohamed Ismail, can walk with more ease.

"It's also good for my mother who has a knee problem as she can still take it and walk."
