He crept up behind her and stabbed her twice
She was so focused on preparing food for her customers that she did not notice a man creeping up behind her.
Suddenly, Ms Noraisha Abdul Rahman, 44, felt a sharp object stab her twice, followed by a sense of excruciating pain.
Blood gushed out and Ms Noraisha fell over as a colleague screamed for help.
She told The New Paper last Thursday: "I don't know how to describe the pain, but it hurt so much.
"All I could think of was my daughter, and how I would never see her again."
On Feb 26, Ms Noraisha was stabbed twice by security guard Taib Saleh, 66.
Stole knife
He stole a knife from a hypermarket at the basement and went to the food court stall at VivoCity where she worked, and stabbed her twice in the abdomen.
He was sentenced to 28 months in prison on Wednesday (June 29).
Ms Noraisha considered Taib as just a friend, but she said that he misunderstood their relationship,
According to her, he repeatedly hinted that he wanted to have sex with her.
She said: "That was wrong, he is married man and I never did see him that way."
Not able to take it any longer, she roped in her elder sister and younger brother earlier this year to warn Taib to stay away.
She said: "I kept telling him I could never be his girlfriend and my siblings tried to tell him too."
This prompted her to send a series of messages on Feb 26 asking him to stay away from her.
It was these messages that pushed Taib off the edge, prompting him to stab her that afternoon.
