Ode to Suarez wins it for Nuraashiqin

We asked you to tell us who has been the best player at Liverpool this season.

We had hundreds of entries, with two names dominating.

For first-prize winner Nuraashiqin Fatima, her choice was the talismanic Luis Suarez. Supporting Liverpool is something of a family affair. Her father, Mohammed Allim (near right), is also an avid fan.

The 21-year-old sales assistant decided to "give it a shot" when she learnt of the Liverpool FC Rocks Contest (details below).

"He can do anything to just win," Nuraashiqin said of Suarez.

Her ode to the Uruguayan won her a Liverpool jersey signed by the team and $100 in shopping vouchers.

Second-prize winner Pon Jing Xiang, 20, described Steven Gerrard as having "the commander blood in him".

"If football were a war in Greek legend," the full-time national serviceman wrote, Gerrard would be "Hercules in every battle".

He wins a limited edition Liverpool FC cash card set. Both winners also receive goodie bags.
