Is Rodgers looking to bring Pjanic to the streets of Liverpool?
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has been spotted at the Vatican, presumably to follow up on his interest in Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic.
He left straight after Tuesday’s 3-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur, leaving his assistant Colin Pascoe to deal with the media instead.
A Liverpool fan snapped a photo of himself with the Northern Irishman on Thursday.
Pjanic, a 24-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina international, has been a key player in Roma’s midfield since leaving Lyon for the Serie A in 2011.
Rodgers is expected to return in time for his team’s FA Cup clash with Crystal Palace on Sunday morning (Singapore time).
