Contestants receive photo-book of MUS journey
Canon S'pore gives finalists photo books of their pageant journey
Yesterday, the pageant's official imaging partner invited the girls to lunch and a tour of its offices at Fusionopolis Place.
But the most exciting moment was when they were each presented with a 20cm by 20cm, 20-page HD Photobook of their MUS journey.
Mr Melvyn Ho, Canon Singapore's senior vice-president and head of domestic operations, tells The New Paper on Sunday: "We wanted these ladies to have (something memorable) from this experience, something they can keep and share with their loved ones of the next generation."
The HD Photobook was made in partnership with FotoHub.
The MUS finalists were also taught how to compile the photo book, which was not a new experience for finalist Shanice Hedger.
"I'm convinced I have OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder)," the 21-year-old Nanyang Technological University communications undergraduate says.
"For example, when I go on a holiday, I will get stressed from gathering all the photos from every single device - from phones to cameras.
"I'll sort the files out by event and store them in my computer.
"When I found out that Canon was going to compile a photo book for us, I was so happy. It is such a brilliant idea."
Cheryl Chou, 20, a Lasalle College of the Arts student, was also ecstatic about the gift.
"I love photography and creating a photo book like this is such a fantastic idea," she says.
Cheryl picked up photography after taking a photography module as part of her degree. She uses her Instagram account to "photograph food and products".
"This photo book contains beautiful high-definition photographs and at the same time, contains memories of the last few weeks.
"I couldn't ask for anything better. It's definitely something I will hold very dear."
