Glue-trapped rat falls from foodcourt ceiling
An uninvited guest dropped in for lunch on Friday (July 1).
Mr Kelvin Yeo was eating at the food court at Marina Bay Financial Centre when a glue trap - complete with a rat - fell from the ceiling in front of him.
Mr Yeo, an Information Technology (IT) manager, was there for his lunch break and he regularly dines there four to five times a week.
Mr Yeo said that some onlookers recoiled at the site. But even though it was busy, because the trap fell on the glued side and looked like a a piece of cardboard many did not notice it.
They continued eating unaware of the rat stuck underneath.
Only when the rat, which was still alive at the time, tried to move did it become apparent.
Someone then walked over to step on the trap, putting the rat out of its misery, before taking it away to dispose of the dead rodent.
