Man fined for driving with man on car bonnet
The driver who drove for about 5km with a man clinging onto his bonnet was fined $2,000 and banned for driving for nine months on Thursday (May 21).
Murali Krishnan Naidu, 44, was convicted for committing an act that endangered the personal safety and life of Mr Haresh Govindaraju, 46.
Murali owed huge sums of money to Mr Haresh and two others, court papers said.
On Oct 18 last year, Mr Haresh and the two men confronted Murali at the accused's condominium in Bukit Timah.
Murali fled and entered his car, but Mr Haresh leapt onto the car bonnet and held onto it as Murali drove to the Bukit Batok Neighbourhood Post.
The New Paper reported on this incident last year.
