School of frock: Red Carpet Leftovers
Pickings were so stupefyingly slim this past week, it was like we had been given the red carpet leftovers.
SHU QI (B+)
Asian Film Awards in Macau
Gown: Georges Hobeika
God bless Shu Qi for being the only celeb to satisfy my princess dress craving.
The dreamy blush cap-sleeved gown featuring a cage-like bodice and full tulle skirt is totally befitting the queen of the night and Best Actress winner for The Assassin.
NAOMI WATTS (C+)
Premiere of The Divergent Series: Allegiant in New York City
Top and skirt: Derek Lam
Shoes: Giuseppe Zanotti
Nice sparkles, but something about the silhouette and hemline makes it all a bit older lady wear.
If I can imagine Dame Helen Mirren rocking it, Watts should think twice.
ZOE KRAVITZ (C)
Premiere of The Divergent Series: Allegiant in New York City
Dress: Valentino
Shoes: Stuart Weitzman
And our catch of the day is a confused Kravitz, who thinks she's at the Mad Max: Fury Road premiere. Fringed fishnet "dresses" should really be tossed back into the sea.
HEIDI KLUM (D)
Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards in Los Angeles
Dress and shoes: Atelier Versace
Pull on one of the white straps and hopefully the whole thing will inflate like a life jacket.
We all know she's silently screaming for help, what with her deranged style choices of late.
SHAILENE WOODLEY (F)
Premiere of The Divergent Series: Allegiant in New York City
Jumpsuit: Elie Saab
Shoes: Casadei
If she's trying so hard to fade into the background while selling her movie, then this doesn't deserve anything more than a snort.
Oh, and ship it off to Jane Fonda, who'll at least do a better job.
WHO WORE IT BETTER?
ZENDAYA OR KERRY WASHINGTON
Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards in Los Angeles, March 12 / PaleyFest Los Angeles in Los Angeles, March 15
When you're tasked to wear one of these over-designed Ulyana Sergeenko embroidered patterned frocks with bra cups that do odd things to your boobs, nobody wins, really.
Zendaya's retro styling - finger waves, choker, Charlotte Olympia shoes - takes her blush version up a notch.
Sadly, Washington's chances with her blue rendition from the same line died the instant I saw all those ruffled tiers.
