No one hurt in Keppel Shipyard fire
No one hurt as contents in an office at Keppel Shipyard go up in flames
A fire broke out at Keppel Shipyard in Tuas on Sunday night.
A Keppel spokesman said that the incident happened at about 9.45pm at one of its contractors' office in the shipyard.
He said: "The few occupants in the area were safely evacuated and no injuries were reported. No impact is expected on the yard's operations."
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) dispatched two fire engines, two Red Rhinos, one ambulance and eight support vehicles to the scene.
Its spokesman said the fire involved contents of an office space on the upper storey of a two-storey building.
When SCDF firefighters arrived, the shipyard's in-house Emergency Response Team was fighting the fire with five water jets.
SCDF officers joined in with four water jets and the fire was put out within an hour.
No one was injured and investigations are ongoing.
