WATCH: Woman cries with joy after firefighters find wedding rings in burnt house
Fire fighters made all the different to a California resident.
Her house had burnt down. There were only charred remains.
But among the wreckage, officers managed to find Kathy Besk and her mother's wedding rings.
As they passed the rings to an emotional Besk, she choked and could barely speak.
Besk's home was razed in California's recent wildfires, a casualty of the drought that plagues the area every year.
She had thought she lost everything, Good Morning America reported.
As local firefighters went through the rubble, she watched in disbelief as they handed over her most beloved possessions.
"We just found my wedding ring of 44 years in all of this mess," Besk says in the ABC News footage.
"God answers prayers, incredibly. Oh my gosh. It's still just as pretty. It still shines."
They found her mother's wedding ring a short while later.
The ring, a family heirloom, would pass to her daughter when the latter gets married.
